Day 15 – Arrive at Bangkok at 15.15 h. We then have to take a rest after the long journey just enough to get used to the new time zone. We get our accommodation in the vicinity of Khao San Road, where you can enjoy a relaxing massage and observe the cosmopolitan city.
Day 16 – This day is designed to enjoy one of the most stunning cities in Asia. Visit the Grand Palace, where the Emerald Buddha is, the resting Buddha in the Wa Po and one of the most interesting temples, Wat Arun. Then we will go on a tour around the Chao Phraya River to finish at the amazing Lumpini Park.
Day 17 – get up early to go and see the floating market, where you can taste exotic local fruits. Then we go back for lunch, we can pass Nakon Paton. We then have a free afternoon. At night we can go on an excursion into the exciting world of Patpong.
Day 18 – Today we will go to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, then settle down in the area of Thamel. From here we’ll take a city tour to explore this unique and vibrant culture, visiting Durbar Square, Freak Street and the Temple of the Goddess Kumari, a living goddess in the heart of the city.
Day 19 – Sightseeing in Kathmandu near Bhaktapur, a medieval city, it is of UNESCO heritage, which still retains the splendor of what it once, was. This unique setting has served as the backdrop for countless real films, some as famous as “The Little Buddha.” Pass by the Stupa Boudhanat home to greet a large Tibetan community in exile and make the kora around it. Also visit the Hindu shrine near the sacred Patinak Pasuk Bagmati River, a tributary of the Ganges, where a temple is dedicated to the goddess Shiva. Although we are not allowed to enter, we can see the crematorium and then meet the many Babas and Yogis who live nearby.
Day 20 – Departure from Kathmandu in the morning, heading east. The goal today is to do some rafting through one of the most famous Himalayan rivers, the Trisuli river, which has grade IV rapids. In the tour of this river we can discover the different ethnic groups that populate its shores, as well as gold miners and other interesting people. After the descent, we can take the local transport to the Terai region (moist soil in Nepali). This area has nothing to do with the Himalayas as it is in Chitwan National Park where there are tame rivers near the border with India.
Day 21 – After spending the night in cabins, we can take a canoe tour of the rivers that surround the park, the park is inhabited by crocodiles and tigers. In the afternoon we will go into the jungle, hopefully riding on the back of elephants but it isn’t certain. Thus we can see all the animals in the region and especially we can see the nearly extinct rhinos in Asia. At night we will witness an exciting spectacle of Indian “Taru” folk dancing, there are many of them in this region.
Day 22 – On this day, whoever wants to can to get up early and can come with us to watch birds in the vicinity of the river. We will take a bus to Phok, which is the second largest city of Nepal and the basis for many of the numerous treks that take place at the Annapurna Sanctuary. The journey to this peaceful city gives us a splendid view over the mountains and the Himalayan rivers.
Day 23 – Take a taxi to bring us closer to the people of Birethanti, there began the three-day walk that will bring us into the region with the world’s largest mountains. It is a six hours walk along winding paths where only people can go up having caravans of donkeys carrying their heavy loads. The path of the road we will mark the Modi river where there is a town called Kola Ghandrung, inhabited by the Gurung ethnicity. That evening we can enjoy the full moon.
Day 24 – The dawn surprise us with one of the most striking images of the trip: the Machapuchare mountain, which is 23000 ft high with very sharp peaks, which makes it one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalayas. It is the Holy Mountain of Nepal, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is why climbing it is forbidden. There will then be a one day walk, where we will be able to cross a valley, in which its route will take us at the end of the day to Torka, which is inhabited mostly by Brahmins who will let us spend the night there.
Day 25 – We wake up with a different image than the previous day. Look at the Anapurna with an altitude of 26545ft and you can also see the Hiunchuli and hopefully, if there are no clouds, we will see the Dahulaguiri. The trail will take us down to the village of Phedi, we then go through the rhododendron forests that have a lot of rice fields, always with the Anapurna mountain in the background. In Phedi we say goodbye to the porters and a car that will take us back to the city of Phok.
Day 26 – After a short break we will travel by bus to Kathmandu. It is scheduled for us to arrive in the afternoon. We have a free day to relax, enjoy a Nepalese tea or do last-minute shopping in this attractive and affordable place.
Day 27 – We then go to the Kathmandu international airport for the flight back to Thailand. Arrive in Bangkok and we get a small flight to the island of Koh Samui, located in the China Sea, or more precisely in the Gulf of Siam. The tropical climate makes us get out of the shelter and feel again, like we are in the eternal Thailand summer.
Day 28 – In the morning we take a boat to Koh Phangang, the place where there is the famous Full Moon Party, but that isn’t what we’re there for, we are taking a small boat that will transport us to the paradise turtle island (Koh Tao). Accommodation is in cabins, from which we enjoy the spectacular sunsets and the Thai cuisine.
Day 29 – Our first night in Koh Tao we will be allowed to rest fully, you can practice your scuba diving. This day we are planning on going in the gulf of siam for the first time and you can have a scuba diving lesson in the sea with specialized trainers who will show the technique. This rich sea floor houses a large variety of fish and corals, the Reef Koh Tao is considered to be one of the tastiest fishes in Asia and there are few places where you can sometimes see the harmless whale shark.
Day 30 – A morning of relaxation on the beach. At noon we will take a speedboat to reach the mainland region. In the city of Chupong we will go on the well-known Southeast Asian railway that runs from Singapore to Bangkok. It is an overnight train with beds, thus it completes the all transportation that we use throughout this amazing journey.
